Legends v. Champions

ESPN NFL Analyst Ron Jaworski and Former Phillies Manager and MLB Network Analyst Larry Bowa will lead two star-studded celebrity teams on the softball diamond to support two area non-profits: Jaws Youth Playbook and Kisses for Kyle Foundation.

Celebrity Participants include: Ron Jaworski, Larry Bowa, Steve Carlton, Dickie Noles, Marty Bystrom, Vai Sikahema, Ike Reese, Hollis Thomas, Michael Barkann, Todd Fedoruk, Brian Propp, Fred Baxter and Kathryn Scott. More additions to the celebrity roster coming in the next two weeks.

The game will be played on July 11, 2012 at Campbell’s Field, home of the Camden Riversharks professional baseball team, as a prelude to the Atlantic League All-Star Game, presented by Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey,which will begin at 7:05pm. The Legends vs Champions Celebrity Softball game will begin at 5:00pm with gates to open at 4:00pm.

Larry Bowa will manage The Champions, which will be captained by Michael Barkann and fielded with players from the Phillies 1980 and 2008 World Series Championship teams. Ron Jaworski will manage The Legends team, which will be captained by Ike Reese and comprised of Philadelphia area legendary sports stars.
