POSTED: 9/19/2012 by Danielle Forte
Support the Utley Foundation at the Camden Riversharks game on Friday, September 21st by entering a raffle to win a bat autographed by the Philadelphia Phillies second baseman Chase Utley.
To purchase your raffle ticket, stop by the Utley Foundation’s table on the main concourse during our 7:05 p.m. game.
Special $11 Riversharks tickets are available when you make your purchase online using the fundraising code “UTLEY”. A portion of each ticket purchased through the code will be donated back to the Utley Foundation.
The mission of the Utley Foundation is to educate the community about the proper treatment of animals and fund non-profit organizations that are active in the fight against animal neglect, pain, and suffering.
In 2008, Chase and Jennifer Utley began their public support of animal well-being by hosting a series of Utley All-Star Animals events to support the Pennsylvania SPCA. The events have raised well over $1 million to support the Pennsylvania SPCA’s Etana Fund to Stop Cruelty Against Animals, which helps prevent and protect against abuse and neglect through their Humane Law Enforcement department. The department investigates an average of 17 cruelty cases each day to prosecute criminals to the fullest extent of the law. Seeing a need to not only help prosecute animal abuse criminals, but also put a stop where the abuse starts, the Utley’s formed the Utley Foundation in 2011.
Through the Utley Foundation, the Utley’s will not only continue to support the Pennsylvania SPCA, but also expand their efforts to stop animal cruelty by educating children on the proper treatment of animals.
